Monument is seeking a talented Proposal Writer with exceptional writing and editing skills to support our business development efforts. This role is responsible for crafting persuasive, client-focused proposals, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses that clearly communicate our value. While strong organizational and coordination skills are important, the ability to write, edit, and transform technical content into compelling narratives is the most critical aspect of this position.
The Proposal Writer will collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and graphic designers to develop high-quality, compliant, and visually engaging proposals. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and a competitive salary based on experience and quality of writing.
Qualifications
- Architect or Engineering industry-based proposal writing experience is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Adobe InDesign or other desktop publishing software is a plus.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and persuasiveness.
- Review technical input and translate complex concepts into client-ready narratives.
- Analyze RFPs, SOQs, and advertisements; prepare compliance matrices, outlines, and proposal schedules.
- Schedule, facilitate, and document proposal kick-off and color review milestones.
- Compile and distribute meeting notes, action items, and reviewer feedback.
- Coordinate proposal resources, including technical team input, subconsultant content, and supporting documentation.
- Develop and manage proposal production schedules for review by the manager.
- Ensure incorporation of review feedback and adherence to internal quality standards.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to produce visually compelling documents and presentations.
- Support sales interview teams as needed, under senior manager oversight.
